Ted Lambrinos speaks as part of The HUB 2010 Spring Speaker Series

Syracuse University alumnus Ted Lambrinos, an executive director of Global Head of Electronic Communication Networks and Datafeed Services in Trading Technology for JPMorgan Chase and Co., spoke to students in the Martin J. Whitman School of Management and the Syracuse University community April 22 as part of The HUB 2010 Spring Speaker Series.

The series is sponsored by The HUB - a unique university-industry collaboration founded by Syracuse University and JPMorgan Chase. Lambrinos concluded the 2010 Spring Speaker Series following Nadege Charles, Vice President and Talent Development Manager at JPMorgan Chase, Tony Zingale, Board Member of Jive Software and McAfee Software, and Andy Zitney, Chief Technology Officer of Corporate Systems Infrastructure at JPMorgan Chase.

Lambrinos spoke on "Electronic Trading and Market Data." He discussed how the flow of market data is translated into information used on the JPMC trading floor; how recent trends in technology and industry are accelerating the move toward electronic trading; and explored how low latency market data is used in algorithmic trading engines.

Lambrinos is an executive director and the Global Head of ECN (Electronic Communication Networks) and Datafeed Services in Trading Technology for JPMorgan Chase & Co. He has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, including 15 years at JPMorgan, primarily focused on trading technology and the distribution of market data used on trading floors and in electronic trading applications. He has been a leader in the distribution of low latency market data used by algorithmic trading engines, and partners with application development teams, stock exchanges, and vendors to build innovative solutions in the trading technology space.

He is a graduate of SU's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, and actively participates in recruiting and mentoring students as part of the collaboration between JPMorgan Chase and Syracuse University. He has spoken at several industry conferences on the subject of technology used in financial services.
